University of York

The Fulbright University of York Award covers a three-to-eight month project for researching, lecturing or teaching in or across any research-active department at the university.

Founded in 1963, the University of York’s founders endowed the University with a strong social purpose, drawing on a rich tradition of social justice and combating inequality in a way that is distinctive to the City of York. 

Since the 1960s York has become one of the world’s leading universities. The university has consistently placed in the world’s top 150 universities in both Times Higher Education and QS rankings. For research, York ranked 10th overall and 12th for impact in the most recent UK Research Excellence Framework. Over its lifetime, York has carved out a reputation as an academic powerhouse with national and international recognition alongside longer established institutions.

Grant amount

£3,000 per month

This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general expenses incurred during the grant period.

No additional funding provided for dependents.
