The Fulbright University of Sheffield Award covers a three-to-nine month project for research (and teaching if appropriate) in or across any research-active departments at the university.

The University of Sheffield is in the top 100 universities around the world. Their five faculties cover the widest range of academic disciplines:

  • Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing
  • Medicine and Health
  • Science  

The university's history stretches back to 1828, when the Sheffield School of Medicine was founded, and their Royal Charter was granted in 1905.

Grant amount

£3,000 per month

This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general maintenance costs while in the UK.
