Royal Society of Edinburgh

The Fulbright Royal Society of Edinburgh Award allows UK academics and professionals with a clear connection to Scotland undertake lecturing and/or research in any discipline at any accredited US university.

This Award is generously supported by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scotland's National Academy. The RSE contributes to the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of Scotland through the advancement of learning and useful knowledge.

The grant covers any appropriate three-month project in one of the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s chosen research themes. This year the research themes are:

  • Climate Change & Environmental Sustainability
  • Economic Prosperity
  • Social Cohesion and Inclusion

Grant amount

  • $5,000 per month

This is intended as a contribution towards any institutional fees and accommodation & maintenance costs while in the USA.
