Fulbright-National Archives and Heritage Science Fellowship

The Fulbright-National Archives and Heritage Science Fellowship allows a visiting scholar to connect with National Archives and Record Administration scientists and experts while conducting research at the National Archives and Record Administration’s Heritage Science Research and Testing Lab in College Park, Maryland. The U.S. State Department has partnered with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in order to offer this award.

This grant covers one five-month to twelve-month  research project commencing from September 2023. The research will be based at The National Archives and Record Administration Heritage Science Research and Testing Lab  which is located just outside of Washington, D.C. in College Park, Maryland.

Lloyd's

The Fulbright Lloyd's Award allows academics and professionals to pursue research in any discipline related to risk at any accredited US university.

The Lloyd’s awards are funded by Lloyd’s Tercentenary Research Foundation, a charitable trust established by Lloyd’s in 1988 to commemorate its 300th anniversary. Royal College of Surgeons of England

The Fulbright Royal College of Surgeons of England Award allows UK trainee RCS England members to pursue research into a number of surgical areas at any accredited US higher education institution.

Providing support, advice and education opportunities for surgeons in all stages of their career, the Royal College of Surgeons of England supervises training of surgeons in approved posts; examines trainees to ensure the highest professional standards; promotes and supports surgical research in the UK; and supports audit and evaluation of clinical effectiveness.

Stephen Lawrence Award

The Fulbright Stephen Lawrence Award allows for policing professionals to pursue research in areas related to law enforcement, public health and community engagement with regard to race. This grant covers an appropriate 3-month project.

The Stephen Lawrence Award in Policing will support the selected candidate to engage in a research project at the law schools of Howard University, North Carolina Central University and the University of the District of Columbia. These universities are home to leading law schools in the south and are part of the network of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Northern Ireland Public Sector

The Fulbright Northern Ireland Public Sector Award allows individuals working at the equivalent of NICS Grade 7 or above in the public sector of Northern Ireland to conduct research or assess best practice affiliated with any US institution.

This grant covers any appropriate three-to-five month project.

Candidates from non-departmental government organisations across the whole public sector, covering the three main areas of health, education, and local government, as well as the range of public sector arms-length bodies sponsored by government departments are encouraged to apply.

The Fulbright-Rutgers University-Newark Scholar Award will support one scholar to spend a semester as part of the Honors Living Learning Community. The selected scholar will teach and conduct research in any one of the University’s departments or schools with a focus on the issues of the contemporary urban environment.

The Fulbright Rutgers University-Newark Award allows academics and professionals to teach and pursue research on issues of the contemporary urban environment.
