Viola Day

Viola Day, born and raised in Utah, graduated from Denison University in 2026 where she earned a B.S. in Biology with a double minor Chemistry and Theatre. While her undergraduate research focused on cephalopod chemosensory capabilities in the field of neuroscience, much of her time was spent on service-based projects. She has assisted in implementing a vital records recovery program, established a Grant Writing Initiative that assists local non-profits apply for and manage grants, and founded an organization dedicated to providing meals to the unhoused community while simultaneously teaching students basic cooking skills. Viola has also organized countless service events aimed to connect students with opportunities to serve their community. As a certified clinical medical assistant and consistent volunteer at a veterinary clinic and hospice care unit, she also has an extensive background in healthcare. At the University of Bristol, Viola will pursue an MSc in Public Health. Her work will focus on addressing healthcare disparities and bolstering accessibility to care, with an emphasis on the unhoused community. She looks forward to being engaged in the community through volunteering, exploring the city of Bristol, and connecting with her peers.
