Sunvy Yalamarthy
Fulbright/University of Nottingham Award
Sunvy Yalamarthy graduated with a BA in Psychology and Political Science from Temple University. His interest in Organizational Behavior developed through years of public service experience, from interning at the White House to serving in the Pennsylvania State House. He most recently served as a Special Assistant at NASA, where he supported the agency’s leadership and deepened his understanding of how organizational culture impacts public institutions.
At Temple, Sunvy explored the intersection of mental health and public service, studying how stress, motivation, and institutional structure influence the well-being of civil servants. His academic and professional experiences have prepared him to pursue an MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology at the University of Nottingham. During his time at Nottingham, Sunvy will research how leadership and workplace design can improve employee resilience and performance, particularly in government settings.
Outside of school and work, Sunvy is an avid pickleball and tennis player and a volunteer coach at the DC Jail, where he teaches pickleball to residents. While at Nottingham, he is excited to volunteer in the community while also learning how to play badminton and padel.
