Sean Farrell

Fulbright-Queen's University Belfast Scholar Award (Irish Studies)

Sean Farrell is Board of Trustees Professor of History at Northern Illinois University. A former president of the American Conference for Irish Studies, he has published widely on the history of religion and politics in nineteenth-century Ireland, including his latest book, "Thomas Drew and the Making of Victorian Belfast" (Syracuse University Press, 2025). His current research project is entitled "The Fight for Public Health in Victorian Belfast, 1832–1880."
