Sarah Boyd

Sarah Lee Boyd holds a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Biology from the University of North Florida (UNF). Her passion for archaeological science was ignited through her undergraduate research at the Gail M. Cobb Archaeology Laboratory, where she drew on her interdisciplinary academic background to answer questions about prehistoric human ecology. While at UNF, Sarah Lee engaged in numerous international field excavations, was involved in zooarchaeological research at multiple sites, and was an active member of the Hicks Honors College. Sarah Lee will be attending Durham University to pursue an MSc in Bioarchaeology. She is interested in the application of biomolecular methods to study past environmental challenges, especially disease. During her time in the UK, she looks forward to learning from the country’s longstanding commitment to cultural heritage preservation, and hopes to engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary research at Durham.
