Moyosola Adedoyin

Moyosola Adedoyin is a Nigerian-American undergraduate student at the City College of New York’s Sophie Davis BS/MD program from Queens, New York, majoring in Biomedical Sciences. Passionate about healthcare and social justice, she aims to delve deep into the intersection of the two as a future physician. Her commitment to social justice and activism is rooted in her participation in several non-profit organizations throughout her four years of high school. By bridging the gap in the quality of healthcare underrepresented patients receive due to the social factors that marginalizes them, she aims to rectify such issues through the lens of the social determinants of health. At the University of Bristol, Moyosola has a strong desire to discuss with people from different backgrounds.

From her peers to her community leaders, she hopes to better understand the impact of colonialism and slavery on the current political climate and the ways in which it has shaped social justice through different communities. Moyosola is incredibly excited to explore the city of Bristol, hoping to see the similarities between the city and her hometown of NYC. She will continue to engage in her hobbies of walking, reading, and trying different cafes in a newfound space.
