Min Ko Ko

Fulbright/Queen's University Belfast Award in All Disciplines

Min is from Houston, Texas, and graduated from Harvard in 2025 with a Bachelor's in Social Studies. He is interested in how legal and policy institutions can improve the lives of children, and has worked with numerous organizations on child welfare in the United States. As such, Min will be pursuing an MSc in Children's Rights at Queen's University Belfast. At QUB, he is especially excited to work with their renowned centre for children's rights research and examine how humanitarian institutions can better integrate rights into their everyday work. This Fulbright will also be an opportunity to work with children's organizations in Belfast, explore aspects of youth justice, and examine the role of children in peacebuilding efforts. Outside of this field, Min enjoys learning new languages, volunteering, cooking, and floral design. Since graduation, Min has been pursuing a Rockefeller Fellowship studying aspects of floral culture in Spain. At Belfast, he hopes to volunteer with QUB's botanical gardens, engage with the poetry of Seamus Heaney, and enjoy the pub culture!
