Mark Stone graduated summa cum laude in May 2026 from the University of Southern California with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance emphasis) and a minor in Music Industry. Originally from La Jolla, California, Mark’s academic and professional interests meet at the intersection of finance and the music industry, particularly the valuation of music catalogue acquisitions in today’s streaming-driven economy. During college, Mark was a summer analyst at an investment bank in New York and gained experience through internships with a venture capital firm and start-up in Los Angeles. As a recipient of a Fulbright Open Study Award to the United Kingdom, Mark will pursue an MSc in Finance at University College London. At UCL, he plans to deepen his skillset in valuation, asset pricing, and broader financial analysis while continuing to explore the business of music in one of the world’s most important music capitals. He looks forward to learning from UCL’s academic community, connecting with finance industry professionals, and immersing himself in London’s music scene and the wider UK culture.
