Mackenzie Saenz De Viteri

The Fulbright Aberystwyth University Summer Institute on Identity and Nationhood

Mackenzie Saenz De Viteri is a rising sophomore at Fordham University Lincoln Center, double majoring in International Studies and Anthropology. She is also part of the CSTEP program at her school, being one of the 2023 CSTEP Summer Scholars.

Mackenzie is from Long Island, New York, and takes pride in her identity as a firstgeneration Puerto Rican college student. Mackenzie is passionate about politics at the local, national, and international levels. She has worked on politcal campaigns, such as Jackie Gordon’s Congressional Campaign, and participates in her university’s Model United Nations team.

During her participation in the UK Fulbright Summer Institute at Aberystwyth University, Mackenzie hopes to broaden her political knowledge through discussions and field trips. When she is not engaging in politics, Mackenzie is engaging in either creative projects or community service. She works as a Digital Content Producer for a student-produced TV Show and participates in Fordham-led partnerships with her local community, such as Urban Plunge. Mackenzie is excited to work with Aber Food, a food pantry partnership through Aberystwyth University, to continue her volunteer efforts.
