Lydia Dixon

Fulbright-Edinburgh Napier University Scholar Award (Nursing)

Dr. Lydia Dixon is a medical anthropologist and Associate Professor of Health Science at California State University, Channel Islands. She has conducted extensive ethnographic research on topics related to midwifery, childbirth, and healthcare in Mexico and the United States. 

As a Fulbright Scholar at Edinburgh Napier University, Dr. Dixon will study rural midwifery education in Scotland with a focus on how midwifery degrees can address gaps in rural maternal healthcare through online training.
