Levi Krum

Fulbright/University of Manchester Award

Levi Krum graduated with a BA in Geography and Urban Studies from Temple University in 2019. Originally from Pennsylvania, since graduation, he has moved cross-country to Oregon to work as a public servant on both federal and local government levels, serving as a Cartographer with the Bureau of Land Management and Washington County of Oregon’s Department of Land Use and Transportation. Levi is passionate about land use, conservation, and using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills to examine complex spatial issues. In the UK he will pursue the University of Manchester’s MSc in Urban Studies. In this course he hopes to explore topics in urban containment policies, connecting his background in Oregon’s unique Urban Growth Boundary system with the UK’s Green Belts. Outside of classes, Levi is looking forward to exploring Northern England’s iconic urban centres and inspiring public lands. This will be his second Fulbright Student Award after having served as an English Teaching Assistant in Macau in 2019-2020.
