Interim Programme Manager, Sutton Trust Fulbright US Programme

Laura is an Interim Programme Manager for the Sutton Trust US Programme, supporting low-income and first-generation students to explore and apply to US universities.

Laura joined the Fulbright team in 2023 as a Programme Assistant for the Awards Team. 

She hails from the small but bustling town of Port Antonio on Jamaica’s north-east coast. Her introduction to international education came with a scholarship to the United World College in Wales where she became actively involved with equality, diversity and inclusion work on campus. Matriculating to Dartmouth College in the USA, she majored in Geography and African and African American Studies and continued to work in the EDI space by creating supportive systems for international, Black and Caribbean students. She also studied for ten weeks in Accra, and still dreams about Ghanaian food.  

Laura loves to write and bake and is teaching herself how to sew.
