Kristin Daniel
Fulbright/University of Birmingham Award
Kristin graduated with a BS in Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She developed her passion for infant and maternal health through work on preeclampsia in the Wayne Macrophage Lab. While at the University of Birmingham, Kristin will continue her work on preeclampsia, expanding research on diagnostics and preventative treatments. By combining learning experiences in community and academic settings, she hopes to provide important research that will expand our understanding of the disease. Outside the laboratory, Kristin volunteers with groups working to improve health outcomes during and after pregnancy through community care and support.
