Scotland Summer Institute on Technology, Innovation and Creativity: University of Strathclyde and the Glasgow School of Art

Kassandra Vasquez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and will be starting the upcoming school year as a sophomore at New Mexico State University. Kassandra is a double major in Studio Art and Marketing and is a Computer Science minor. Kassandra took an interest in studying these fields to fully understand the importance of art and design in the future of business and technological transformation.

Kassandra is determined to end discrimination and segregation against minorities in the creative industry and provide opportunities for young individuals to expand their expertise in creative development in developing companies.

Kassandra is more than ready to embrace the knowledge she will obtain from the Summer Institute and cannot wait to develop positive ideas fostered by this experience to help her community.

This opportunity excites Kassandra because not only will this experience enrich her education but will allow her to meet diverse like-minded individuals all while learning more about the technology, innovation, and creativity of Scotland.
