Jonah Weaver

The Fulbright Aberystwyth University Summer Institute on Identity and Nationhood

Jonah Weaver is a rising sophomore at Saint Vincent College, double majoring in Public History and Liberal Arts/Linguistics and minoring in Chinese Language and Culture. He is a graduate of PA Leadership Charter School and a native of Danville, PA. He is also a Fred Rogers Scholar and was the winner of the 2023 Wimmer Scholarship exam contest, receiving a full scholarship to Saint Vincent.

Currently, Jonah works at the Verostko Center for the Arts as a gallery assistant and has interned at the Saint Vincent College Archives. During his breaks, Jonah works at the Thomas Beaver Free Library and volunteers at the Montour County Historical Society (MCHS). Following the Summer Institute at Aberystwyth University, Jonah hopes to host movie nights and discussions focusing on Welsh films and contribute knowledge about Welsh identity to the MCHS. In his free time, Jonah enjoys photography, reading, and running.
