Grace Cobb

Fulbright/Northumbria University Award in Art & Design

Grace Cobb graduated from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, majoring in Virtual Reality and Game Development with minors in Communication Studies and Japanese. While at Ohio University, Grace designed interactive experiences and coordinated cultural programming that connected students from around the world, developing her passion for using technology and events as tools for cultural exchange. At Northumbria University, Grace will pursue an MA in Creative and Cultural Industries Management with a focus on festivals and events. She hopes to explore how immersive technologies and innovative event strategies can expand access to cultural experiences and strengthen communities. During her Fulbright year, Grace looks forward to engaging with Newcastle’s creative sector, from its festivals and music scene to its network of artists and cultural organisations. She hopes to explore how communities preserve cultural heritage while cultivating new creative movements, and to develop the skills needed to create meaningful experiences that connect audiences across borders.
