Ethan Davis

Fulbright/University of Strathclyde Award

Ethan Davis is from Cumberland, Rhode Island. Ethan attended Brown University, where he studied economics and history. In history, he pursued a focus in “Ordering the Material World,” studying the relationship between systems of resource distribution and power. During his time at Brown, Ethan held leadership positions in the Brown Investment Group, the Intercollegiate Finance Journal, and the Student Government Association.

Ethan has previously worked in investment banking in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on the financing needs of startups. He also has experience in strategy consulting. At the University of Strathclyde, Ethan will pursue an MSc in Applied Economics. In partial satisfaction of the degree, he plans to research the impact of grant funding within the Glasgow City Innovation District.

Outside of school and work, Ethan enjoys playing guitar, trivia, and reading. A fan of music history, Ethan is particularly excited to explore the rich Glasgow music scene. During his time in the UK, Ethan hopes to immerse himself in the nation’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, aiming to study how innovation districts can serve as sources of economic growth for their communities.
