Eleanor Clark

Fulbright/University of Stirling Award in Health, Well-being and Sport

Eleanor Clark of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is a graduate of Franklin University Switzerland. Bringing extensive experience caring for individuals on the autism spectrum and older adults with memory and movement disorders, Eleanor is passionate about contributing to systems of care that promote dignity, autonomy, and social connection. In her free time, Eleanor loves to paint watercolour, try out new recipes, and listen to great music. Eleanor will be pursuing an MSc in Autism and Neurodevelopmental Conditions Research at the University of Stirling, where her research will focus on how autistic women navigate age-related life transitions. During her grant year, Eleanor is looking forward to gaining specialized research experience and immersing herself in the storied history and culture of Scotland. She is particularly excited to attend the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and gain a deeper appreciation for Scotch whisky. Eleanor hopes to learn from Scotland’s innovative approaches to autism research and support to improve outcomes for autistic women in her home community.
