Cristina Mariné

Fulbright/University of Exeter Award

Cristina Mariné is a Fulbright scholar at the University of Exeter who will be working towards a Master's in Creative Industries. She is originally from Venezuela but has lived most of her life in South Florida. She attended Elon University, where she received degrees in Cinema & TV Arts and Strategic Communications. Cristina is passionate about uplifting unheard voices through filmmaking and digital content. 

During her Fulbright year, she hopes to learn more about the UK's public service media industry, complete an internship with a creative agency, and engage with the community by participating in the Two Short Nights Film Festival's 48-hour film challenge. Additionally, she is also curious to learn more about the Venezuelan community present in the UK, and she plans on exploring this by becoming a member of InterNations and connecting with other Venezuelans in the area. Cristina is extremely excited to spend the next year across the pond and looks forward to meeting new people and places!
