Conor Dailey

Fulbright/Lancaster University Award in Faculty of Science and Technology

Conor Dailey is from Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. In 2025, he graduated with a MS in Geology and Natural Resources and a Masters in Public Administration from Ball State University. During his thesis research, Conor examined reforestation and carbon sequestration in Nepal’s Sagarmatha National Park (SNP) and completed three weeks of field study including physical site assessments and key informant interviews with local stakeholders throughout the SNP. As an undergraduate, Conor delivered his Senior Honors Recital exploring a story of loss and a yearning for wholeness through the traditional folk songs from the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Through the Fulbright grant, Conor will complete the MSc in Environmental Management at Lancaster University, and hopes to examine changes in carbon sequestration in land remediated through reforestation efforts along with an examination of policies regulating urban forests in the United Kingdom compared to the United States. Additionally, Conor hopes to engage within the storied British brass band tradition and continue to explore the traditional music of the United Kingdom, while also engaging with local conservation efforts.
