
Chloe Cleland
Fulbright/University of Sussex Award
Chloe Cleland, of Medina, OH, graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Psychology, History, and Philosophy, and a minor in Women’s Studies from Converse University. She was a member of the Converse College for Women and the Nisbet Honors Program.
Chloe has engaged in multiple research projects, including studying the effects of a drug on temporal perception in rats, and implicit and explicit biases in humans. She was awarded a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the University of Connecticut. Her psychology capstone project studied synesthesia, which led her to the University of Sussex and its MULTISENSE lab.
Chloe’s passion for Interfaith cooperation led her to co-found and co-lead the Converse Interfaith Club, with the goal to create a space for students from minority religions to feel heard and supported, and to focus on community education and connection. Chloe was a four year member of the Acrobatics and Tumbling team at Converse, earning her school, conference, and national recognition, including Academic All-American.
While at the University of Sussex, Chloe will be earning her MSc in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from the University of Sussex, while conducting research with the MULTISENSE lab on synesthesia.
