Agatha Rivero

Fulbright Queen's University Belfast Summer Institute

Agatha Rivero is a sophomore at the University of Miami, where she is pursuing a double major in History and Political Science. As a Fulbright Summer Institute participant at Queen's University Belfast, Agatha will immerse herself in the study of Irish history, politics, and culture. Through this program, she aims to investigate Irish history and the continued impact of the Troubles on contemporary community identity, exploring how historical conflict shapes modern social structures. Outside of her academic pursuits, Agatha is an active member of her university’s community radio station, 90.5 WVUM, where she enjoys exploring diverse narratives through broadcast. An avid hiker, she also hopes to explore the natural landscapes of Northern Ireland during her time abroad.
