Adam is a mathematics teacher at Rushey Mead Academy in Leicester, England. His professional interest in supporting students’ confidence in numeracy has led to a growing focus on mathematics anxiety and how it affects classroom learning. During his Fulbright placement at the University of Rochester, Adam hopes to explore effective strategies to better understand and reduce mathematics anxiety in young people, with the goal of creating more inclusive and empowering learning environments.
Beyond the classroom, Adam is passionate about arts education and community engagement. He volunteers with the Leicester Print Workshop to raise the profile of the arts locally and supports school bands, helping students find creative outlets alongside academic achievement.
While in the United States, Adam looks forward to visiting New York City and experiencing its vibrant arts and culture scene. He is excited to connect with educators, researchers, and students to gain deeper insights into education systems across cultures.
