Exciting leadership opportunities at the Commission

The US-UK Fulbright Commission is inviting applications for two important leadership roles on our board of trustees.

It’s a bittersweet time in the US-UK Fulbright Commission’s evolution. After two terms in post, including one in leadership, our chair, Sara Grote Cerrell, and the chair of our Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, Drake Dubin, will conclude their tenures at the end of this year. We are looking to replace their formidable talents with the wisdom, experience and leadership of two dynamic new board members.

We are currently recruiting for both positions and would value the support of our alumni and stakeholder communities in sharing the posts throughout your networks. Both roles are pivotal in shaping an exciting new chapter in the development of the US-UK Fulbright Commission, working with us to uphold our values, realise our mission and achieve our core priorities as laid out in our strategic plan.

We are indebted to Sara Cerrell and Drake Dubin for their commitment, energy and generosity of spirit and for sharing their specialist knowledge and sector intelligence that have helped the Commission achieve the resilience and adaptability so necessary in uncertain times. Their stewardship was critical as we navigated the potentially devastating impacts of the pandemic on the delivery of our programmes, but from which we have emerged stronger and more responsive.  Such leadership qualities and dedication are essential elements in championing our ambitions to support the next generation of Fulbright thought leaders and change makers, individuals who represent the diversity of our complex societies and who can help us meet our global challenges head on.  If you or someone you know would like to be part of our journey, please check the candidate profiles here.
