On June 11, eleven of the twelve members of the US-based Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board resigned. This resignation does not directly affect the operations of the US-UK Fulbright Commission.

We are pleased to introduce the participants in this year’s UK Summer Institute programme. The UK Summer Institute programme for US undergraduates has been offered through partnerships with a variety of top-ranked UK universities since 2010. 

US Marine Corps Iraq War Veteran Roman Baca bridges the gap between the worlds of dance and military service. After serving as a Marine in Iraq, Baca co-founded Exit12 Dance Company initially to spark his own healing and understanding of his experiences.

Following last year’s elections, the new US-UK Fulbright Commission’s Alumni Council (AC) is confirmed. In a nutshell, we have found new talent from amongst our Fulbright community to advance the revitalisation of the Council and our brilliant community of Fulbrighters.

This year, we’re launching a series (alongside associated professional networks) to celebrate the Fulbrighters amongst us that are evolving, changing, challenging or positively disrupting every facet of our societies, cultures, technologies and economies.

A Commission collection of 10 art works by 7 accomplished artists and Fulbrighters has been created due to their extremely generous donations; all on display at HQ.

All funding for US-UK grantees in the 2024-25 academic year will continue as planned, and current participants on Fulbright exchanges will continue and finish their programmes in keeping with the award dates on their grant documents.
