Sir Cyril Taylor Memorial Award for Social Entrepreneurship

The Fulbright Sir Cyril Taylor Memorial Award supports a Master’s degree in social entrepreneurship or social innovation at any accredited US university.

Cyril Taylor led a remarkable life. He was a scholar at Harvard Business School and had a long career as a social entrepreneur and educator. His legacy includes helping to found the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS), one of the largest study abroad organisations in the world, and setting up Richmond University. His lifelong passion was to raise the standard of state education and many of his interventions remain current.

Cyril was a change maker, to quote former Schools Minister and Labour Peer, Lord Adonis, and the Fulbright Commission will be looking for similar potential in applicants for this award and expect applicants to demonstrate their commitment to social enterprise in their application.
