Tulane University, founded in 1834, is a highly selective, private research university located in New Orleans, Louisiana.

There are 7,500 undergraduates on our campus, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 8:1, and over 75 majors offered. Research in many disciplines has flourished at Tulane through the establishment of centers such as, the Murphy Institute of Economics and the Tulane Cancer Center, among others. New Orleans has long been a city of international trade and exchange. Tulane values the experience our students gain from our city and as such, is well-known for its emphasis on public service and internships within the community.
