The Fulbright-Lancaster University Scholar Award presents an opportunity for a three-to-six month research project in any field of Science and Technology (STEM) at Lancaster University.

Renowned globally for its dedication to research, scholarship, and teaching, Lancaster University places a strong emphasis on fostering employability skills, a positive research culture and sustainability. The Faculty or Science and Technology boasts a vibrant research community comprising seven departments committed to pioneering research that significantly impacts our economy and society. With close to 700 staff and 600 research students, our community's diversity and depth of research are extensive. The Faculty is host to a number of research centres and institutes that work with the University, and more broadly, to further scientific knowledge and translate it into applicable solutions for the economy and environment, including:

Grant amount

£3,000 per month

This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general maintenance costs while in the UK. 

Relocation Allowance 

$1500 stipend 

Dependent Benefits 

Scholars accompanied by eligible dependents for the full duration of the programme may receive a one-time dependent allowance of $1800 for one dependent or $2500 for two or more dependents. This will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for any Scholars on a grant for less than 6 months.
