The growth in social distrust has deepened divides, impacting not only political processes, but also our everyday lives. Bringing our communities together and bridging these divides requires listening and understanding. Polarisation is a global problem:  to repair these divides we need to develop global citizens who can work together. 

The Global Challenges Teaching Award - Polarisation and Division will support a pair of teaching faculty – one at a US HEI, one at a UK HEI – to co-deliver a virtual exchange programme on understanding and addressing polarisation and division.

• Be currently teaching an undergraduate class that relates to polarisation and division. 
• Be able to demonstrate support of your home institution. 

Rather than creating a new course from scratch, we are asking that an existing class that you currently teach be adapted for co-teaching. Co-teaching with a US or UK counterpart across the Atlantic would take place as a virtual exchange.
