As a graduate student, I appreciated my university's commitment to teaching skills development and providing teaching experience....
Meet Siobhan McGuirk
at American University
Who Takes It: The DAT is required for most doctoral programmes in dentistry.
Dates: Testing appointments are available year-round.
Testing Sites: Unfortunately, there are no testing sites in the UK. The closest sites are on the east coast of the United States, such as New York. See the DAT guide for further information.
Cost: $385 USD
Registration: You can register for the DAT online.
How it's Used in Admissions: While all dental schools require the DAT, test results are only one factor considered in evaluating applicants.
How to Prepare: There are a wide variety of test preparation materials available in both online and hard copy formats. See our section on preparation for more information.
Students with Disabilities: The DTS provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations. See the DAT guide for more information.
For More Information: You may also want to see the ADA website for more information on the dental admissions process.
