Early Career Researchers honoured in Elsevier awards ceremony

On 16 November 2020, Elsevier hosted the 5th Early Career Researcher UK Awards, in partnership with the US-UK Fulbright Commission.

Designed to support the growth and development of research talent early on in scholars' careers, Elsevier and the US-UK Fulbright Commission launched the UK edition of the ECR Awards in 2011.

The ceremony included a roundtable discussion about the importance of international collaboration with US-UK Fulbright Commissioner and UK Government International Education Champion Prof. Sir Steve Smith, historian Prof. Andrew Thompson, and neuroscientist and President of Trinity College (Connecticut, USA) Prof. Joanne Berger-Sweeney, chaired by Vivienne Parry OBE.
