EducationUSA Resources for UK teachers and advisers

If you advise UK school students interested in studying in the USA, our EducationUSA team can help. We are the official source of US study information in the UK.

We offer free advice and events for students interested in undergraduate study in the USA:

USA College Day is the largest US university fair in Europe. Each year over 4,500 students, parents and teachers meet with over 170 US universities.

When we are informed of US universities visiting the UK for informational sessions, we list them in our events calendar.

Sutton Trust US Programme

The Sutton Trust US Programme helps underprivileged British state school students apply to American universities through support, advice and a one-week summer school in the USA.

Past summer schools have been hosted by Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University.

It is free to take part in the programme.

Online resources

There are some key things to know about US university study:

Our comprehensive university application guide has all the information you and your students need.

We provide templates for the school transcripts and school profiles that teachers complete as part of a students' US application.

We regularly attend large scale higher education fairs across the UK, including:

  • UCAS
  • QS World University Tour
  • The Student World
  • What University Live?

We also aim to present at adviser events such as:

  • CDI
  • National Career Guidance Show
  • UCAS Annual Conference for Teachers and Advisers

Due to limited staff resources, it is unlikely we will be able to visit individual school fairs or presentations. If you are participating in a large scale event with multiple schools, please contact our outreach team.
