Diablo Valley College (DVC) is part of the community colleges of Contra Costa, located near San Francisco, California. One of DVC’s missions is to provide students with access to higher education and an affordable pathway to a university degree. 

After 2 years at DVC, students can transfer into the third year of four-year universities. International students completing certificates or associate degrees at DVC are eligible for Optional Practical Training, which allows students the opportunity to work paid for up to one year in the US. DVC students have transfer guarantees to 7 of the Universities of California, including UC Davis, Irvine, and Santa Barbara and every year 100’s of international students transfer to UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC San Diego.
