Building on a 160-year history as an innovative undergraduate institution, Bard College's mission has expanded across the country, around the world, and to meet broader student needs.

Approximately 1900 undergraduates study on the 1000-acre campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY but many students take advantage of the opportunities outside the region through Bard’s international campuses and partnerships in Germany, Russia, Austria, Kyrgyzstan, and East Jerusalem. Special Bard Network classes facilitate conversation between faculty and students across these campuses.

The undergraduate program also retains a reputation for civic engagement. We are committed to enriching culture, public life, and democratic discourse through education and action.
