Queen's University Belfast Irish Literature
The Fulbright Queen's University Belfast Award in Irish Literature covers a six-month appointment to research, lecture and teach in Anglophone Irish literature.
The Scholar will assist in teaching one undergraduate modern Irish literature class, as part of the BA English programme, as well as lead one graduate seminar group in the Scholar's field of expertise and interest.
The Scholar would also be expected to offer research seminars on his or her published work, or work in progress, participate at events sponsored by the Seamus Heaney Centre and the School of English and, more generally, to support the ongoing work of the centre and engage in discussion, interaction, collaboration and research.
The appointment will start in January 2019.
This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general maintenance costs while in the UK.
Faculty accommodation may be available for free or for a reasonable rental rate; candidates should inquire well in advance of arrival.
