 The Fulbright Queen Mary University of London Award covers three-to-nine months of funding for a research project at any relevant research active department.

We teach and research across a wide range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, law, medicine and dentistry, and science and engineering. Based in a creative and culturally diverse area of London, we are the only central London university able to offer a completely integrated residential campus. 

The number of months that can be funded will vary across departments and years. Applicants should confirm that funding is available for the required number of months with the host department before submitting a formal application. This award is not supported by Schools in the Faculties of Science and Engineering, however Schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Medicine and Dentistry welcome applications. 

Grant amount

£3,000 per month

This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general maintenance costs while in the UK.

Relocation Allowance 

$1500 stipend 

Dependent Benefits 

Scholars accompanied by eligible dependents for the full duration of the programme may receive a one-time dependent allowance of $1800 for one dependent or $2500 for two or more dependents. This will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for any Scholars on a grant for less than 6 months.
