 The Fulbright Edinburgh Napier University Award covers a three-to-nine month research project in nursing at the university.

The Edinburgh Napier’s School of Health & Social Care provides a vibrant teaching and research environment for over 2,500 students and 130 staff. It delivers a world class learning experience and undertakes pioneering research with a focus on practical and applied results. 

It is the largest school of health and social care in Scotland offering all fields of Nursing as well as Midwifery, Occupational Health, Physiotherapy and Social Work. 

The School of Health and Social Care is proud of its strength and depth in research, with the Centre for Cardiovascular Health and Centre for Mental Health Practice, Policy and Law Research, and research groups in Population and Public Health, Healthcare Technologies, and Midwifery, contributing to Edinburgh Napier University’s world class research.

Who is this award for? 

Early, mid and late career US academics working in nursing. 

Grant amount

£3,000 per month

This funding is intended as a contribution towards US-UK travel, institutional fees, accommodation, and general maintenance costs while in the UK.

Relocation Allowance 

$1500 stipend 

Dependent Benefits 

Scholars accompanied by eligible dependents for the full duration of the programme may receive a one-time dependent allowance of $1800 for one dependent or $2500 for two or more dependents. This will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for any Scholars on a grant for less than 6 months.
