American Institute of Foreign Study

Since its founding by Cyril Taylor in 1964, the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) is one the largest, and most successful cultural exchange programs in the world. With six global offices, the AIFS organizes cultural exchange programs for more than 50,000 participants a year. These programs include college study abroad, camp counsellors and staff, gifted education, high school study and travel, and more.

AIFS has assisted over 1.5 million students study abroad in an effort to “bring the world together”.  Today AIFS’ services enable students to study in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas in subjects including, business and politics, art and architecture, and fashion marketing and merchandising. All programs include housing and meal plans with some students able to choose homestay programs. Furthermore, AIFS organizes social and cultural events and trips in order for students to learn more about their location.

Over 600,000 dollars are awarded annually through grants and scholarships. Click here for more information on financial aid and scholarships.
