Monica Mazzoli graduated summa cum laude from Villanova University in 2011 with a BA in English. She received the St. Augustine Award for academic achievement in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and was named a Falvey Scholar for her research on Lucy Hutchinson’s Order and Disorder. While at Villanova, Monica was a member of the Student Government Association and volunteered on campus and in the surrounding community. Since graduation, she has worked for Patient Relations at Duke University Medical Center and continued her volunteer activities as a mentor for the Wake County Boys and Girls Club. Monica will be completing an MA in Renaissance Literature at the University of York and plans to take forward her research on the works of lesser known early modern female writers. After her Fulbright year, Monica plans to commence a PhD in English and hopes to teach at the university level.
