Dayna was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. After graduating from ‘Iolani School in 2008, she began her undergraduate career at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. Her interests of meeting new people, pursuing her love of dance and being involved in community service are satisfied through her job as a Resident Advisor, active involvement in the dance community at Occidental and continuation of her independent service project of sending donated books to school children in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Dayna has a strong appreciation for diversity and loves to travel to learn about other cultures around the world. In the summer of 2006, she travelled to Japan for a couple of weeks through the generosity of the Freeman Foundation.  As a Fulbright exchange participant, she will further her experiences abroad, learning about British cultures first-hand through her participation in the Summer Institute at Roehampton University in London.
