Meet Madeline Campion

Me at Ground Zero Blue Club. A music venue in MS run by Morgan Freeman
It was something I knew I would only have the chance to do once in my life and at the risk of sounding very corny- it really has been once in a lifetime experience....

When I told my Great Aunt I was going to study in Mississippi for a year, she replied 'Oh fantastic! But what language do they speak there?'. When I told my American friend, she replied "Wow! That's about as far South as you can go!" and many people remarked "Oh, isn't that the Bible belt?" No one really knew what to expect, least of all me, but I have had the greatest experience of my life here.

Classes have been incredibly varied from one to the other but they're all very different to what I've experienced in England. Campus life is also very different- football games, pep rallies, Seymour the mascot, Greek life, free gym with discounted outdoors adventures, school colours, marching band... the list continues. I have so many good memories and I'm still making them, I'm learning so much about the world and coming here has been the best decision I have ever made.
